    Nice clear posts.
Now I just wondering how many more people will ask the same question on CGT.
Anyone want to bet there will not be many more questions on exactly the same thing?

I mentioned the dividend re 45 days earlier.
A bit dirty they did not mention that in the offer documents.

"I also defer to PHX post on the date and price for Minres if have accepted the Minres offer, ..."
I am basing this on basic contract law.
MIN have made an offer to us.
When we accept the offer, by sending in the acceptance form, that is the date and time of acceptance.
I assumed most acceptances would be electronic - so the time/date would be when you email you acceptance.
If by post, then it would be when MIN receive it in the post.
Happy for a lawyer to correct me.

"And again the imputed sale price of the original Norwest holding 'sold' to Minres, will be the last closing sale price of Minres on the day divided by 1300."
If you can prove the time that MIN received your acceptance you could argue that is the time to measure the MIN price.
You will need to have emailed your acceptance or dropped it in.
Probably not significant but on a day like yesterday with large movements in share price it could be a small advantage.

In the meantime, it all means nothing to me, just keep that drill turning.

With MIN extending the offer and the drill drilling you would be a mug to accept the offer now.

    My opinions only, not advice.
Been many years since I was doing taxation/corporate.
Always seek advice from your tax accountant and DYOR.
