Unfortunately your comment “that the did not have to” is incorrect. Go back to what Trousergecko’s post says regarding compulsorily acquisition of Norwest shares. The words Minres Will give notice to compulsorily acquire all outstanding norwest shares means exactly that. If the don’t acquire all outstanding shares then they are in breach of what they stated in their takeover documents. In other words Minres does have to acquire these outstanding shares. There is no other way to interpret it! As I said it’s done and dusted.
