I don't know if I buy into this Macquarie control thing, but it would certainly favour an institution to be able to control the trading range of a stock. It would allow them to move back to cash at levels that they choose and keep the price at a level they choose unitl they have the cash to move back in again. I'm not sure if this is how the small cap resource guys would operate, but if you take at look at EVG you'll see that Macquarie certainly have some clout when it comes to the lending side of the operation.
