TCI's cost base in IFN is probably still higher than current SP... they have been LT holders and stayed with us from pre 2016 when we were in a really bad way. I am very hopeful that TIC maintain their cornerstone stake - but I would not say it is a coincidence that the UAC went all guns blazing to get a 17% holding (only got to 12%) - if they can get TCI to part with theirs - they could have had the 50%+ with very little extra effort to get majority holding and control.
Change in substantial holder notice is from MUFG (Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group) - they took over Colonial First State from CBA last year... and since then, have been using the portfolio to generate additional return by facilitating shorts (loaning stock out).
