I have been one of the most vociferous voices against this opportunistic Offer from the moment it was announced, but I think I have a reasonable fix on where this is going, and so, applying sound reasoning to my decision, I am merely looking after my own personal position, as we all should. Martyrdom is not one of my strengths. I'm not going to wait 8 weeks for my cheques to be cleared via snail mail to and fro across the Tasman, better to have it all in cash now and I can buy OZL if I so choose, whereas you guys will have the cash in 3 weeks.
Read carefully what Kalenn has said today, especially think about what the 2 G's might do at 50.1%, and in whose hands the on-market purchasing (at least 15% now, and which has NOT been retail) will end up.
