Isnt Monday the date we close on the sell down of Blackwater? When that cash hits the bank it covers all BHP payments except the last one which is only $100m USD and that $100m usd isn't due until April 2027. From Monday that would essentially put the company is a net zero debt. Hard to think why a major shareholder would sell down right before that event. Good news is the shares were absorbed, the buy back is still chugging along and one would think the board might hand out a sweetener in July with a larger than anticipated dividend based on capital allocations now the debt is provided for.
