If you look at substantial holders you will see River capital hold approximately 10mil share and RPL the balance.
It’s possible both River and RPL set this up hoping for another offer to extract a premium for their holdings.
I also noted in the announcement that RPL put in another offer in June that was obviously rejected prompting a better offer.
A bit disappointing management didn’t make that known to shareholders at the time.
