Agree that caution must be exercised. What we cannot ignore though is that something is going on here - funds/HNWIs do not do things by accident, and I reiterate my earlier point about them having far better information than retail investors.
In this instance it could be an attempt to obtain enough votes to block a low-ball takeover; it could be because there is a partnership going to be announced which fires up the SP; it could be that AW is lowering his average ahead of a massive pump 'n' dump. Who knows?
Whatever the case may be, one thing is certain - there appears to be some serious motivation behind all of this buying.
