    Earlier today, replying on the thread "Age Article", I posed the following to some who feel the VOC 'merger' is a fait accompli;

    "Do you feel AMM is not worth TPG offering a premium above VOC, and a least a partial cash/scrip deal?"

    and,

    "I cannot believe TPG would let this go, (albeit that their 'stakeholding' might return them a worthwhile VOC dividend otherwise).

    Would also prefer a cash offer to scrip, which a bidding war may produce.
    "

    Upon reflection I thought the Age piece was rather cocky, and with no disrespect to VOC shareholders on here (whose posts I enjoy), I can't help but feel the VOC overtures are a tad opportunistic...at least on the stated basis of $1.85 plus 30%.

    Recently AMM shareholders were asked to vote on performance bonuses for Clive Stein upon the SP reaching $4.00.   TPM continuing to accumulate their 'strategic' stake could see sellers recognising the clear impetus the newly announced E.S acquisition will give AMM by asking closer to $3.00 before too long imo.

    I know it is still very early days, but for now I happily rest my case...
