The ex dividend date is only relevant if buying and selling on market. You have to be on the share registry as at COB of record date to be entitled to dividend.

I'm just saying there are different processes for transacting on market vs off market.

If you look at CVF same kinda thing happened.

Also you couldn't accept if you purchase today on market as they aren't settled. They won't be settled till 2 days later by which point AYS has already been delisted and suspended.
