I'll take a guess and suggest he may be accumulating at these levels in order to increase his influence to try and protect his already sizable holding invested at much higher levels. Notice the announcement mentioned BOD will be expected to contribute some of their own money in addition to his investment. I wouldn't be surprised if his investment may have been partially conditional on them putting their own money in too. At worst nothing comes of it, at best he may be in a position to demand some accountability out of them.. who knows.. just guessing at this point
