once the debt is refinanced you will likely see an increase in the share price, but nothing amazing imo, but you never know how the market reacts. you have to consider that (from memory - 80%) a majority of the shares are owned by a small number of large investors - it does seem that Noble are offloading at the moment. it isn't a very liquid stock.

additionally they are also increasing their debt (or ability to draw down) by around A$70m with the finance package. imo, the company needs to develop and build new and profitable mines, i know they want to develop Springsure, but they seem to have gone quiet on that recently. building mines takes time and a piles of money - so expect some additional borrowing or capital raising. alternatively they could specialise in buying, on the cheap, decommissioned mines near the end of their life and make them profitable - they did an amazing job with Blair Athol.

they have one coal mine in queensland that they didnt build that only has around 10 years life left in it. the one mine they did build, under the stewardship of craig ransley, incurred the US$150m debt, made losses, and they ended up selling it for US$3.00 - yes 3 shiny coins.

not sure why china would consider buying TER for $3 a share (valuing it at $2,226 million on the current issued shares), maybe buy the entire company for $3.00 - what unknown assets does TER have that would value it $2.2 billion? when you consider the market currently values it at only $90 million. as my old boss would say, that is just pissing in the wind.
