You need to be careful with comparisons between AWS and NextDC - they run very different models for data centres. AWS provides services to clients via AWS own equipment, whereas NextDC houses client equipment.
The move by AWS to Australia in physical terms really just means that they are making the Amazon web services more attractive to Australian customers. The only real ramification for NextDC in this is that they will not get to house any of the AWS servers in their data centres ... but there are plenty of other fish in the sea.
Whilst the sp may have got a little in front of itself, the revenue and earnings figures show the exponential relationship between the two metrics, and I have no concerns about a high valuation, especially as they scale up even further - this will make them more profitable. Methinks NextDC is in a pretty good value range now.
