    im glad somebody raised this. The reality is unless you summarise the buys, sells, borrows and returns in the appendix, you won't know what caused the net movement in % ownership (control I should say). HTK, have you done this?

    On face value it looks like the net movement came from the return of borrowed shares.... Completely the opposite of selling. This would indicate exiting short positions, which is a good thing. Selling would indicate trying to drive price down by selling borrowed shares (in order to profit by buying them back at a lower price)... A bad thing during the selling stage and a reprieve during the short covering stage.

    The reality is that trying to discern the underlying motive of a party who is buying, selling, lending and returning simultaneously is nigh on impossible. Take what posters say with a grain of salt... Particularly if they Give a long winded answer to a very simple and direct question, yet fail to answer it.
