Wow! Wyloo lifts bid for Noront to $C1.10, 47% above BHP offer. Does BHP bid for WSA or do they deal with Twiggy and Creasy for Ni concentrate to feed its smelter and refinery? The smelter was designed for a concentrate blend of Fe:MgO ratio of +12, but can operate as low as 5.3x, the ore from IGO, WSA and MCR would be important to get that ratio. Pretty competitive between Twiggy and BHP. Noront is positioned in what could be a new nickel province but it does suggest WSA or MCR in Twiggy or Creasy's hand would make life difficult for BHP and more costly if they need to import Ni concentrate to feed the smelter.
