But a bit puzzling as to why.
He had over 23 million shares already and he adds just over 100K or around .5% more

Did he want more and was he hampered by the lack of market depth?

Hardly seems worth it from his perspective.
He would be better off seeking a deal with some other major player than trading on market, unless he was partaking in a bit of price manipulation.
