Sprott Asset Management has sold 25,353,289 Norton Goldfields shares between 4th April 2012 and 3rd May 2012.
As at 3rd April 2012, (the date of Norton's ASX announcement regarding the indicative takeover proposal from Zijin Mining Group), Zijin held 16.98% of Norton.
The question in my mind is who has been doing the buying? (albeit at "discount prices" compared to Zijin's indicative offer).
If Zijin is responsible for some of the buying, they will be very close to the 20% takeover trigger!
If it wasn't Zijin buying, can we expect another "Change in substantial holding" notice soon.
I guess that it is too "far-fetched" to hope that another large gold producer is "lurking in the shadows" engineering a late charge at Norton's undervalued reserves/resources/infrastructure. We live in hope!

Goggo
