Yes, you are correct that all buyers think they will make money on their investments. However, nearly all buyers do not have enough money or experience in the industry to buy a KFC franchise. The Copulas Group is financially strong and has significant management experience in running KFC franchises. The Group could have chosen to invest their $3,113,138 in opening more KFCs in NSW instead of investing in Collins Food. However by choosing to invest in Collins Foods shows that they believe they can generate a better return in CKF then investing in new stores (aka Collin’s existing KFC business is undervalued).
