I think that REA's momentum is there successful ability has come from the strong hold they have established through first mover advantage and now moving away from just licensing revenue to more premium services. OTH have probably over stressed disturbance factor too early when in reality more time is required. REA brand very strong which creates its own barriers and Domain is probably where their presentation pack today was referred to as next competitor.

The market is still relatively regional despite the use/availability of technology. Not sure if OTH is very Brisbane / SE QLD orientated in revenue as allhomes had an ACT strong hold which probably made them attractive for Domain given that it would not cannibalise its own regional orientation IMO.
