Allan Gray Aust P/L was called Orbis Funds a few years ago. Orbis Funds, Simon Mawhinney was involved in the Consolidated Minerals takeover back in 2007. They made an absolute fortune from theConsMin T/O deal, Orbis Funds were buying when the CSM share price was depressed and everyone was selling.
Orbis Funds rode it to the absolute top.
Just read some old threads in early in 2006 to see what some HC clowns said about ConsMin a year before the T/O, they all thought they were so smart, the fact was they didn't have a clue.
I'll put my money on Simon Mawhinney at Allan Gray any day, lets see what happen over the next couple of years.
