The success summit will feature Justin Beeton, the managing director of the financial adviser JB Global. Beeton's firm has tried to align itself with the US billionaire investor Warren Buffett by promoting a complex fund called the Berkshire Hathaway Income & Equity Accelerator. It offers investors a 100 per cent loan to invest in Berkshire Hathaway Class B shares.
JB Global appears to have gained the inspiration for its motto from the London Stock Exchange's coat of arms - Dictum meum pactum (My word is my bond).
Beeton showed off his humanitarian qualities last year by seeing off the vegetable oil-powered racing boat the Ady Gil on its ill-fated mission to join the anti-whaling mission led by the Sea Shepherd in the Southern Ocean.
"It was built for one reason and now hopefully it will stop the Japanese from killing whales," he told The Manly Daily in December. The article noted that Beeton had "overseen the transformation of a round-the-world racing speed machine to a whale-fighting mean machine".
In January Beeton expressed his dismay when the Ady Gil collided with a Japanese whaling vessel.
