I wasn't aware that Goldman Sachs had been shorting myr in the lead up to the surprise capital raising for which they are the underwriter. It says the previous notice was given on 25 August 2014 (I didn't read that far back through the substantial shareholder notices when I purchased). But it looks like they have made several large shorting transactions (going short an additional 16 million shares to total 57 million shares short) between now and then. I thought it was a requirement for any changes in substantial holdings to be reported promptly? Not only that, to be going heavily short (therefore pushing the price down) on a company which announces a surprise capital raising for which they are the underwriter? Goldman Sachs at 57 million short position are around half the total shorts on myr.
