That is correct yes, and there is nothing sinister in seeking to buy stock at the best price, in the end they are doing us a favor by tightening the register
What I was saying though is it doesn't benefit them to let the vwap fall as it restricts the highest price they can pay, it is just a consequence of them trying to get cheap stock
Looks like oil sentiment is over weighing on fundamentals here, selling well under cash backing and no value attributed to the assets = capitulation
