    johnheugh old chappie,
bombastic responses are not the flavour of reasoned debate. You comment on the share price, which is a very common data point referenced by some well known posters. The data shows, as one can see for oneself on the commsec charts,
    9 mar 2012, 26.5/5.3
    14 mar 2012, 27.0/5.4
    16 mar 2012, 31.5/6.3
26 mar dismissal notice on ASX
    27 mar 2012, 43.0/8.6
    30 mar 2012, 52.5/10.5
these are closing prices in cents per share.
When one looks at the trading volume around 16 Mar, it has everything to do with the onset of Clive's market raid and very little whatsoever to do with the underlying financial condition of CTP or market sentiment in the wider sense.
And after Clive bowed out, it went quite considerably higher.
You are correct in saying that expenditure obligations in future years often exceed financial resources for small cap companies or in the case of majors their approved budgets for those years, but in this case the year was here and now and the market had given very clear indications of its unwillingness to provide further support.
As another poster repeats, facts are facts.

This may be helpful for the unaware.
