Van Eck purchased a "basket" of shares from other sellers. In those "baskets" were the shares they were actually after. Along with shares in other companies,, BDR being one of them. As it's changed their current holding in BDR, they have informed the ASX which is their duty.
Paris123456,, they can't be "shorts" as they would be registered as swaps in and out under a "Master Agreement".
Easiest way to find out who's shorting your shares is to look at insto's who show share transfers under a Master Agreement.
