Thats what the whole first intro line of my post was about - massive caveat there but like so many here on HC the need to police someone's slightly positive post was your choice.
Maybe a balanced comment also acknowleding how blatantly disparaging of the science he was/is would have been helpful? Chris is a pretty smart guy but he stomped all over some equally smart PhDs and now despite his almost definitive dismissal of any possible value from the tech - Genetech have parted with USD2m - they have a bunch of smart people too.
Of course if it's successful then I'm sure it's because they took his advice somehow . . .
