I generally avoid making my own buy and sell decisions based on what institutions do and in many instances I actually move against what they are doing -i.e. think of them as being the "herd" and in investment it is often not wise to follow the "herd".

You might actually find that if you simply do your own research and invest following your own hunches, that you can do much better than the "big boys".

Also, you might want to carefully review the investment performance of various institutions to check their long-term track record before you blindly follow their moves. Some might be worth following, while others might not. Then there are some fund managers who at the first whiff of bad news dump all of their shares to get out of a stock. If you are caught in such a stock, you have to be very patient for the share price to recover.

Anyway, good luck with TRS, DYOR and have a good Christmas and may TRS have a more prosperous 2018 than 2017!

Agree - the instos have been a terrible lead indicator for TRS over the past 12-18 months (and I'm glad I don't have any money with them). However, to push the price back up to its true value, we will need the insto herd moving back into TRS so I still like to see the sub shareholder notices coming through.
