I reckon you are on the money.
These guys have a heap of patience and a love of money. They are not going to give it away and most likely able to "help" make the price paid a little more attractive (to them).
You imagine a company that had quality Li assets on four continents...... they'd have all markets covered.
The list of projects would look like this:
* Mt Cattlin - Australia
* SDV - South America
* James Bay - North America
* Jadar - Europe
And why wouldn't you assemble the best Li team in the world that can operate both hard rock and brine operations???
To me, it makes perfect sense and provides RIO with the opportunity to be a leader in a 21st century metal.......
