I think @Samboy69 is still correct regarding conversion when they mature. That said, does it practically matter whether this BOD will have them or not? If they lose them now then nice but if they don't then lets consider the scenarios:
(1) Options are options and carry no voting power - so, they are practically not relevant in short term when voting power is relevant in steering the company from this very point.
(2) when/if SP reaches above the maturity then, hey, at that price, does it really matter as it will mean the company and us will be in good hands and cracking champagne with smashed avocados, so I will not spend my thoughts THEN on whinging about it.
