Obviously we should all seek our own counsel but I am sure the poster has some awareness of capital gains tax, I would hope everyone in the sharemarket does.
Why would you give some profit to charity unless this is normal practice. In my opinion this is one share in a diversified portfolio. Personally I take the profit and continue with my overall investment plan. I also don't hit charities up when I take a loss.
Anyway do your own research and know your tax obligations.
