Fact is OOO everyone balmes FAR for the duster, and I guess that's fair enough, but Petronas would not have taken Far's word for it so their geo's were wrong also....so I doubt they are blaming Far.

My point is Petronas made 11 billion last yr.....45 million would be a rounding error to them.

Just my take but I believe FAR have not said anything about Samo and plan B as they might well be in the running for A-1 and A-5. My understanding is the government don't have or can't share any drilling info, if they actually have it, as they are not part of the JV so makes it more difficult for a new player to see through the fog of Samo duster.

Given APCL have not fulfilled their drilling commitment and, The Gambian PSC is pretty clear, the lease can be terminated for not drilling the well. There is a 90 day period where APCL have the option to rectify this but as we know 90 days is impossible to have a well drilled so impossible to rectify.

I suspect the government will prevail.

Point is I think FAR may well be at the front of the que for these blocks and in a bizarre twist of fate may end up with them cheaper than otherwise would be the case if Samo came in.

Could we see FAR win A-1 & 5 and farm down once again for a free carry?

With the Samo well information, if Petronas were to front up again, you would think they have some confidence or at least a clue to what went wrong? Just my thoughts on what maybe happening behind the scenes.
