He has incentive to take it back for sentimental reason as his dad is the founder. Secondly, in Asian family, it is about face. Thirdly, it makes sense to plant a flag in Indochina given they are all over the globe. 

For Thai vendor, it is a glaring cheap solution to his legal problem in Singapore. Also, it has synergy with his casino next door. He already has 18 percent anyway. Just a fraction of his spoil to gain control Vietnam and his previous casino. It is a wonderful deal for him. Remember he voted against the current board of director.
