let me explain my understanding for you guys.

There has been 50 odd million shares short for some time now and always seems to be in the 15-17% range.
what you are seeing is the holders who shorted the shares at $4-5 getting out but only when new shorts enter the market so they can replace there exits. Its being done very slowly to avoid anyone taking notice of the positions being closed out.
This has been happening for a few months now, my bet is that the smart money has already made an exit of most of their winning trades and the people who are short now are not people who sold at $4-5 they are the ones who just got in sub $2
if there was real shorting going on then we’d be seeing the short position rise much higher than it has but it always caps out at 17% range and attracts more speculative public short interest in a herd like mentalitly, the fact is that it’s not moving up dramatically yet shorts continue to make up a fair % of trade each day is evidence of this swap taking place.

There was a day last week where the short positions dropped from 17% to 14% only to reverse the next day.
they didn’t want to let the cat out of the bag just yet, it’s close.

When the price rises this time, positions will be closed out a lot faster because the people who made money are already out and it’s the New shorts entering the market that will be scrambling to close out there losing trades.

call it what you will, but that’s how they do it and that’s what I see going on here.
