Novated Lease bestows a taxation benefit to employee and employer - decreased PAYG, payroll tax and a new car! It translates to a fringe benefit or a tax dodge. The ALP did seek to shut it down once before but was not elected. It is only a matter of time before it goes but it has little to do with COG.
Some of its brokers might sell some Novated Leases but it is hardly the COG business model.

Operating Leases have been known as 'off balance sheet' - meaning that a company would not need to report its future obligations. As a result shareholders could not get a real picture of the company's debt. World Accounting standards are being changed. This will have little to do with COG as most of its customers are small to medium business and don't report anyway.

Your remarks seem to indicate that money lending might become obsolete. Unlikely.

Montgomery's commentary did not indicate that, just related to Australian businesses, large, medium and small businesses leasing assets. Made some comment about investment and business being tough but dependent on control of the senate.
