Two people who have been reported to be in discussions with PRT lately are Antony Catalano, aka 'The Cat' and Alex Waislitz's Thorney Group.

The following was reported in the SMH just after they completed the purchase of the regional newspapers from the Fairfax/Nine Network.

"There is speculation among media sources that Mr Catalano - who left Domain in controversial circumstances in January 2018 - is planning to build a regional media empire by trying to strike a merger with a television network."
