M Resources is engaged in coal trading and consulting, with primary focus on metallurgical coal products used in steel mills. We trade metallurgical coal worldwide, including hard coking coal, semi hard coking coal, semi soft coking coal, PCI coals and thermal coal used for the production of steel products. Our metallurgical coal products are used primarily to enhance productivity and gain significant production costs in the steel mill facilities. To date, the company has several metallurgical coal operations in each of Australia’s main ports, including Newcastle, Gladstone, Mackay and Abbot Point. Currently, M Resources works with eight metallurgical coal suppliers for its coal sources.
The company also provides consulting services to industry players, including steel mills and investors to improve their performance in the business. M Resources has experts in the areas of coal quality assessment and evaluation as well as in utilisation and blending to improve productivity in steel mills. We can also help in developing value in use and coal utilisation techniques as well as evaluation of the resources.
M Resources experts can provide valuable assessment and evaluation to better improve the performance of blast furnaces using technical data to better evaluate the benefits of using certain materials to reduce dependence on the more expensive coke. The company is engaged in continuous studies that would help steel industry players achieve optimum productivity.
