They don't have any registered trials on the ANZCTR (Australian and New Zealand Clinical Trials Registry) so I don't think they are trying to pump up the price until any trial results are out.

Merchant are capital market experts not cannabis experts.

What may happen, is after the next piece of mediocre newsflow where the stock price has an uplift, then he might start selling down which could be bad for the rest of us holders.

He will make his margin and the stock price dumps.

Without the credibility brought by Canopy Growth, I don't think there is much residual value.
