Traded means 1 share could change multiple hands.
Broker who was selling his shares sometimes buy/sell lot just to sustain price during the day. So actually no ownership was changed but trading volume increased. Illegal but practice widely used by many brokers to pump or sustain the share price.
Then we got day traders who are in and out 2-4 times a day specially on high volume day.
Then we got short-long term traders get stopped out and could buy back at lower price.
So he sold 14m and another 3-6m could have come from other parties. But i don't believe that 45m were actually dumped by major holders because it was simply a trading volume.
