Doubt it is a takeover - M&A activity right now is very subdued due to COVID-19 uncertainty and takeover speculation only pans out in a very small % of cases in my experience.
More likely a combination of 1) Reputable fundie increasing stake in company, 2) Realising company is significantly undervalued, probably linked to renaissance's vote of confidence and 3) bit of optimism regarding the COVID-19 situation carrying over from the US. We didn't rally yesterday with the rest of the market so this may be a bit of a 'make-up' rally.
