Online sales are killing it. If would be a great move to bring in some of Premier Investment stores into the Myer retail space. Customer traffic would increase for sure. Smiggle would have its own space next to toys, Portmans in the womens wear and so on. Trial it in a few stores, but rather than merge it in to the floor with everything else, actually create the store within myer itself so that it becomes a shopping centre within a department store. Include cafes and maybe a nice eatery so that people just go to Myer for the entire shopping experience. This must be on the cards for Sol as his leases expire and he looks at his options. Often resets to an economy like this Covid pandemic, result in signifcant changes to the way businesses operate and move forward. We could see this unfold over the coming months. All in my opinion of course.
