Yes exactly, M.I is where the money is at. I understand the concept of and purpose of ALC’s A.I component and it’s ability to be implemented without the need to disrupt existing systems. This makes its products highly appealing for hospitals as it is able to coexist with already implemented systems. However, having worked in the healthcare space, I have come to the conclusion that ALC will need to partner with a company that is well versed with managing hospital PACS coupled with providing other products. This is where the money is at. I have used smartpage and Patientrak and now have come to understand why smartpage was not renewed in my place of employment. It is, without sounding too pessimistic, an ‘ok’ product, but not something that can’t be replicated. So I can see why that product struggles to be renewed. I’m not entirely convinced that revenue will grow substantially without much needed partnerships. Just a thought.
