Why would you not want more capital? Once the insanity of the "V" recovery assumptions fade and some panic sets in it will be a great chance to capitalise on the consolidation of the industry. Acquisitions may begin to present as very attractive valuations. Once past ASIC/CA I would think a buyback would be far and away preferable than going private should we remain undervalued and with cash. Plus the transparency/security of public listing would help greatly with client DD.
Also Joel and Bane both have shares out of escrow now (I think) so stand to be in a very good position should the business success continue to materialise and SP appreciate accordingly.
As for your scenario with a $8 offer... why would this occur at $8 not .80c? Very rosy.
