All good, I highly doubt he has ANY influence over any potential investors or would be able to spook any significant holder into selling.
Just invest in good companies with good fundamentals and over the next 12-18 months you should do really well.
There will probably be no more than 8-10 juniors from the exuberant list of explorers that will actually see their prospect turn into a mine over the next 3 years. MDI is one of them. That is were the value lies. Being able to cash in and make money during peak gold prices. It will literally set alot of these companies up for life with the cash reserve they'll be able to amass.
The rest are full of hot air.
MDI isn't a traders stock, never has been, apart from the odd few days where the DT pump crew drop by to visit.
