Why have they gone above 90%? Because they can block the bidder getting to compulsory acquisition. Why, because if the bidder want full control, they will have to ‘sweeten’ the deal and lift the price. Otherwise Harvest will be a thorn in the side of the bidder. Had I known Harvest was burying, I would have held out. I only had a small holding so not a major issue for me.
