Why do you think Warren Buffett recently invested in Barrick?
His reason: For the dividends!
Gives you an idea on what his thinking is (Gold miners better than Banks) and where the potential opportunity is.
In an environment where there are virtually Low/zero interest rates, negative capital growth in commercial/residential property what are investors looking for?
Yield....pay a yield (divi) and Capital will flood in imo.
Right now there are over 48million reasons why the GOR Capital growth strategy may not work, oh yes another discovery will help fix it .....but at what cost and how long will holders have to wait??? it then might/could be too late.
Yield is King right now ...and into the future and will only be more sort after IMO when things start to get really tough with the economy.
Hoping that someone out there is listening to the common people?
