Well, after reaching 40%, it is clear that Seven Group has a controlling position in Boral.

The question becomes: Do you want to be a partner with Seven Group? I do assume Seven Group will require capital in the short- to medium-term (maybe by selling Boral assets, distributing special dividends) to pay down their debt and that may be great for the other shareholders but it is hard to predict what will happen to the share price.

I would have liked to keep my holding and just collect 15% annual yields from the entry price forever but there is an unknown now which is what are Seven's best interests...

I ended up selling part of my position which covers the initial investments + some profit and hold the remaining until I understand what the new Boral will look like.

So far this has been a great 'value' investment and hopefully it will remain as such.
