"Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for active investment strategies. Approximately $10.6 trillion in assets are benchmarked against Russell’s US indexes. Russell indexes are part of FTSE Russell, a leading global index provider."

    See: https://www.ftserussell.com/resources/russell-reconstitution

Vanguard and Blackrock both run passive index funds which often build positions aligned with these indexes, so seeing them appear on the register and suggesting that is some sort of validation is rather silly.

If you really want to buy what Vanguard and Blackrock buys... buy their ETFs. Nothing wrong with that, just don't actively buy your own stock and think that a passive fund buying into a stock you hold is validation for anything.
