Wouldn't surprise me if they are partly responsible for the shorting, ideally trying to capitulate retail investors and create market liquidity between 27c - 42c, so the punters can get out with their shirts on. L1 long-short funds indicated a 5 year investment horizon, this does seem consistent with the establishment of OP3D and its potential operational cashflow within this period.
