Having a closer look at the Bank of America shareholding and we see that most of it comprises Security Lending arrangements where the borrower gets their shares back on repayment of the loans - so Bank of America/Merrill Lynch are really not the shareholder but only a funds lender. The same goes for the Credit Suisse shareholding as two-thirds of the shareholding is under similar arrangements through CS's Dublin branch, so in each case we really don't know who the shareholder is that ultimately controls these shareholdings, so my original thoughts on this matter might still come into play down the track.
Definitely a stock to watch very closely for developments so as to protect your capital.
