Ecopro bought in at a premium when Covid market panic had sent the SP quite low and capital was perhaps a little elusive at a fair price. They aren't a mining company and if capital had been easier to come by at a premium to the VWAP during that tumultuous period perhaps they may not have even been tapped to buy in to BSX. Manufacturing is what they do, investing in the refinery is much more of a natural fit for them. It is likely they only ever intended to be a purchaser of resources in my opinion, and BSX probably never intended they would actually buy in to the company, but this is only a suspicion. I don't know of any other mines that they have invested in and suspect that they may not have been considering to invest in, or would even have been needed to participate in a raise by BSX if it wasn't for the market conditions at the time.
